Alexander De Foe is an academic psychologist who has spent over five years researching embodiment at Monash University's Psychological Studies laboratory in Melbourne, Australia. Alexander has produced several refereed scientific publications and conference proceedings on topics including perception, embodiment, and consciousness studies. In addition to his research credentials, he also holds a Master in Counselling degree from Monash University.

There is an incredible amount of information in this book. Yes, it could use a good proofreading, but I can overlook that. What has me bothered a lot after a first rather fast reading is the information presented about Bruce Moen. According to an article written by Bruce, he spent a lot of time trying to have regular OBE experiences. Then after further education and practice, decided it was not necessary to the exploration he has been able to do. [...]l - second article down the list. Yet this book keeps proclaiming him to have had thousands of OOB experiences. Are the things Bruce does actually a form of out of body? I don't know. I have attended a lot of the same courses Bruce mentions and I have had wonderous experiences also, but I still can't answer the question.

So I have to question other sections of the book. Are they true to the beliefs of the people quoted. Was the content checked out prior to making it available to the public? I still intend to go back and carefully read the parts I read too quickly. If I was sure about the contents, I would say it is a "must read" for anyone with an interest in the subject.

Fascinating insights into a fascinating experience

The out of body experience (OBE) is in some respects one of the most amazing and profound experiences a human being can undergo. This is a fascinating book, featuring a variety of perspectives on various different aspects of the OBE and its potential implications with regard to consciousness. A number of leading OBE experts and explorers provide their own perspectives on the theory behind OBE's, the evidence for the experience, and the potential benefits of OBE's as a tool for consciousness expansion and exploration. Highly recommended and compelling reading for anyone with a vague interest in the potentials of human consciousness, which should really apply to anyone.

The editor and publisher of this book, Alexander De Foe, has kindly provided this book as a freely accessible ebook on his website as well as here on Amazon, which suggests he isn't at all motivated by money here, but rather he has a genuine deep passion for this fascinating subject, and wishes to make this information accessible to all. So, thank you Alex! This should be compulsory reading for anybody with a vague interest in the potentials of human consciousness, as well as any scientists undertaking or planning to undertake research on OBE's. Seems to Have Promise.

Twelve chapters of interesting looking OOB information. The editor tries to give the major players a chapter in which to have their say, within this out-of-body anthology.

This book is newly published on Kindle, and it shows. The table of contents starting with section III doesn't display properly, both in the book and in the sample and on both tablet and PC. The Figures List doesn't display properly either. I have no idea how many pages this book is, because it didn't say. Hopefully the publisher will buy his own book, and then give it a look to see what's going wrong.

Great Characters

Received an ARC for an honest review.

I love this storyline and these characters. I like how the characters are being developed. I love the sexual tension, chemistry and working relationship between Axel and Holly.

The only negative for me is that I wish it were one, long book instead of many small ones. I want to sit and read the whole story at one time.

The scene in axel's office after his meeting was absolute perfection lol it made me laugh so hard I dropped my kindle!!

Holly and axel are changing each other without even realizing it and it's amazing to watch. Without even trying they become the person they were always meant to be. Cant wait to follow the rest of their journy

About the Author
Andrew Dow was born into a railway family. After a first career in aviation, which later resulted in his book Pegasus - The Heart of the Harrier, he spent two years as Head of the National Railway Museum before joining British Railways as the privatisation effort started. He played a key role in the successful management buy-out that created Fastline Track Renewals, and he led the effort that resulted in Fastline acquiring and operating the first continuous-process track renewals machine in the country. He retired in 1999 and has since been writing, primarily on railways. He has also produced a number of DVDs on railway engineering and maintenance. During the course of research for this book he re-catalogued about half of the NRM permanent way collection.

The Pegasus detailed in facts and technique

This book can be simply described as "All that you wanted to know about the RR Pegasus".
It is a book that required a huge and wide research work indeed on the Hawker/BAE, RR and Bristol archives and generally speaking it is also a wonderful journey through the long and troubled history of the V/STOL flight.
Author Andrew Dow (known as George to all his RR's colleagues) worked for Bristol and then for Rolls Royce for near 30 years and this stands out clearly from the rich and detailed story of the people involved in the remarkable feat of design, develop and produce one of the most revolutionary engines in the aviation history.
His vision "from the inside" produced an authoritative and surely competent work but also a very readable one.
All the intricacies connected with the development of this remarkable engine (the one that made possible the only real operational and successful V/STOL combat aircraft in the form of the HARRIER and its derivatives AV-8B and SEA HARRIER) are told by Mr. Dow in a fact packed and dynamic history.
From the text it clearly appears that the secret for the HARRIER and PEGASUS success was an extremely competent and integrated team of well determined people, both in the Bristol/Rolls Royce team and the Hawker/BAE one.
The text illustrates the fascinating genesis of the engine from the cumbersome and odd "Gyroptere" project of Marcel Wibault that contained the seeds of the PEGASUS to the masterpiece of ingenuity designed by "the perfect team" represented by the two talented designers John Fozard (Hawker Siddeley) and Stanley George Hooker (Bristol and then Rolls Royce).
The Author then details the fascinating story of the "American HARRIER", since the P.1127 days to the definitive HARRIER both in the AV-8A and second generation AV-8B forms.
The B&W illustrations and drawings clearly illustrate all the details of this revolutionary engine, well integrating a truly "must have" book for all aviation enthusiast interested in the modern aviation. Strongly recommended

Absolutely OUTSTANDING effort on this engine - there's stuff in here for both the layman and the retired engineer!!

This is an outstanding effort written about, in my opinion, what is clearly the most unique turbine engine ever developed for an aircraft. John Farley is absolutely correct: The "heart" of any aircraft lies in its engine; the Pegasus is the absolute "King" of this concept! Without it, the Harrier, with it's unique performance parameters and abilities (such as "viffing" as an aerial maneuver), would not have existed. Without the brain-storming efforts of such visionaries as Fozard and Hooker, et al', this magnificant engine/airframe combination would never have come into existance - especially when it did! Imagine the outcome of the Falkland Islands War without the Sea Harrier?! An excellent book - bar none!! Simply magnificent...!!

The author has provided the aeronautical community a real service with his thorough account of the engine's conception, development, and integration with its airframe(s). I was impressed not only with the author's mastery of the material, but also the scope of his account - engineering, commercial, key personnel. An excellent read and fully worthy of an excellent engine and it's gifted designers and operators. GDR.

Written with her youngest son, actress Charlotte Rae tells her life story from her Jewish childhood in Milwaukee to her current life as a 89-year-old. There are lots of interesting stories about the plays, TV shows and movies she did, with lots of names of her fellow actors and how she felt about them. While the cover of the book shows The Facts Of Life: The Complete Series cast, only a small part of the book is about that show, because only a small part of her life was spent as Mrs. Garrett. (Not that people don't still see her as Mrs. Garrett, and get all excited when they do see her! :) Ms. Rae has been on television for over 60 years.

Along with countless stories about her acting career, she also is not shy about talking about her personal life, including dealing with a drinking problem; dealing with a husband who made a startling confession one night; and dealing with her oldest son's autism, during a time period when the majority of people had never even heard the word "autistic". The actress tells how she was so relieved and happy when a specialist finally diagnosed her son as autistic, because she thought he said her son was different because he was "artistic". The doctor had to write the word down on a piece of paper to help her understand what he was saying. What he was saying broke her heart, too, but Ms. Rae is not one to succumb to self-pity or stupor. Well, yes, she did drink a lot during many years of her life, but she overcame her drinking problem with the help of AA. Charlotte Rae has always overcome adversity one way or another. She's dedicated, she's happy, she's positive, she's thankful.

A Charlotte Russe of a book!

Charlotte Rae is the personification of "lovable." Her book is both heartbreaking and inspiring and a must read for anyone interested in the human race. It has become one of my literary treasures.

Larry Strauss has done an excellent job creating this book about the first-hand recollections of actress Charlotte Rae. Unlike many show business bios that blithely jump from show to show, his book painstakingly segues from the emotional impact of one personal experience to another. Other reviewers will detail spoilers about her specific life hills and valleys, but the prospective reader should also know that the book has been carefully produced, well-formatted, well-edited, and amply illustrated. If you enjoy actress biographies, this autobiography will keep you engaged.
